Portfolio Manager
Director, Wealth Management

Daryl Cooper

I have spent my entire career in the financial services industry, joining a major bank in 1980.

In 1995, I formed the investment advisory service called Cooper Wealth Management. I have been truly blessed to have found a passion that doesn’t feel like work and this is reflected in our client retention and satisfaction. Our team is now called Cooper Schneider Financial to recognize the input and importance of my partner; Wealth Advisor, Colleen Schneider.

I became a financial advisor primarily to help people tune out the noise and focus on what matters to them – things they can control – so that they can face the future with anticipation, instead of apprehension. I learned long ago that financial success requires more than just judgment and ideas. It requires a process.

As a licenced discretionary Portfolio Manager, I’ve completed the demanding educational, experiential and organizational requirements to be approved with this title, placing me in the top 5% of all investment advisors in Canada. I believe in reliable, logical wealth management methods that help preserve and grow each client’s hard-earned wealth over time, giving them the freedom to enjoy their lives and trust that their wealth is secure.

I had the good fortune to have been raised in rural Saskatchewan that instilled values that are with me today. Those values include understanding the value of a dollar, the importance of hard work and perseverance and respect such that you treat the janitor the same way you treat the CEO. I live by the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

I am the proud father of five wonderful children. I have always loved sports and enjoyed competing, coaching and being a spectator my entire life. I am an avid reader of biographies, history and other non-fiction. I live an active lifestyle that includes weightlifting, cross-training and yoga. I actively support charities that I feel strongly about, with an emphasis on the wellbeing of children that are in need both at home and around the world.
